If you’re looking for a great place to live in Wilmington, check out the neighborhoods off of Greenville Loop Road. There are lots of options in this area of Wilmington real estate. You’ll find Greenville Loop Road homes that have water frontage, at either Hewletts Creek or Bradley Creek. Some houses have their own boat slips. For those who want to keep a boat but don’t have a slip at home, there’s Bradley Creek Marina. The marina accommodates boats and yachts from 17 to 65 feet long. Creekside Yacht Club is also a good choice for storing a boat. Members enjoy club parties and events, as well as the excellent services for keeping their vessels in top shape.
Wilmington Real Estate Shoppers Search Neighborhoods off Greenville Loop Road
The city of Wilmington has plans to develop a multi use bike and walking path that will run parallel to Greenville Loop Road. It will connect the neighborhoods along the road to Bradley Creek Elementary School, allowing children to walk to and from school safely. The path will also cross the River to the Sea Bike Path that has already been built. Greenville Loop Trail is scheduled to begin construction in late 2021.
The NC Cooperative Extension and Arboretum is another fun place to explore. There are multiple gardens showcasing local plant species. Kids are welcome in the Children’s Garden. People of all abilities can garden in the Ability Garden. Locals are also welcome to come to the Plant Clinic for help in selecting the right plants for their yards, as well as help diagnosing plant problems.
For local shopping, there are shops on either end of Greenville Loop Road. The western end of the loop ends at Pine Grove Drive. Lowes Foods is located in a plaza there, along with an ATM, gas station and Redbox. On the other end of the loop, the road becomes Greenville Avenue. Just before the end, the road crosses Oleander Drive (or Highway 17). There are several restaurants, a vet clinic, gas station, and professional offices.
